Conference travel grant

NAVSA's Executive Council and Advisory Board are committed to assisting graduate students, adjunct faculty, underemployed instructors, and independent scholars who lack institutional support present their work at the annual NAVSA conference. For this reason, we allocate funds on an annual basis towards conference expenses for members who are scheduled to present papers but who lack sufficient funding. We are sincerely grateful for the generous donations of NAVSA members to these grants.

The NAVSA conference grants are awarded on the basis of need and may be used for transportation expenses, lodging, and registration. We aim to reimburse approximately 30% of any such costs that are not covered by other sources, depending on the number of applications we receive. If you are interested in being considered for the NAVSA conference grant, please fill out our online application (below) by July 15th of the conference year. Preference may be given to individuals who have not received reimbursement from NAVSA in a prior year. Applicants must have paid NAVSA dues for this year for the application to be considered.
