"Open Assembly: Teaching & Publishing with COVE Studio & Editions"
Digital Humanities Summer Institute (DHSI)
University of Montréal
Montréal, Québec, Canada
May 26–30, 2025
DHSI is a premier venue for digital scholarship training, bringing together scholars from around the world for intensive, hands-on courses. This course introduces participants to COVE (Collaborative Organization for Virtual Education), an open-access, scholar-driven platform specifically designed to integrate the study of literature with digital teaching and publishing.
Why This Course?
- Learn how to use COVE Studio to curate digital anthologies and facilitate multimedia annotation.
- Get hands-on experience with COVE Editions, learning to create and publish scholarly and student-driven projects like annotated editions, dynamic timelines, interactive maps, and digital galleries.
- Develop materials that can be used in your own courses and research, while engaging with the DHSI community.
DHSI courses run in person at Université de Montréal and require full-week participation. Early-bird registration closes March 31, and scholarships are available for eligible applicants (apply before registering): https://dhsi.org/scholarships/
