A Crafternoon with Cynthia Boehm

8 April 2022, 1:00pm - 2:00pm PDT on Zoom

Crafting Communities warmly invites you to join them for the next virtual event in their “Embellishment” series! This series continues conversations on nineteenth-century material culture and twenty-first century crafting practices. Please see the details below and the event poster attached. The organizers look forward to seeing you in the weeks ahead!

Please join the organizers for an engaging conversation with beadwork artist Cynthia Boehm! Cynthia will chat about her artistic practice and share related images. Feel free to bring your own crafts to work on as you listen! This informal gathering will help to build a community of crafters who are interested in both sharing their work and learning more about the history of crafting.

This free event is open to all; to register, please visit: https://www.craftingcommunities.net/events

This virtual event is part of a year-long series titled Critical Crafting In and Beyond Humanities Classrooms: 19th-Century Material Culture and 21st-Century Open Pedagogy. This series is generously funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada; the Universities of Victoria, Alberta, and Manitoba; and the Victorian Studies Association of Western Canada.
