Event: A Crafternoon with Charlene Van Buekenhout

A Crafternoon with Charlene Van Buekenhout

10 December 2021, 1:00pm - 2:00pm PST on Zoom

Crafting Communities warmly invites you to the next event in their series of virtual sessions focused on paper-based media! Please see the details below:

Please join the organizers for a lively conversation with moving-panorama artist and performer Charlene Van Buekenhout! Charlene will chat about her artistic practice and share images of her work. You are welcome to bring your own crafts to work on as you listen! This informal gathering will help to build and connect a community of crafters who are interested both in sharing their work and in learning more about the history of crafting.

This free event is open to all; to register, please visit:

This event is part of a year-long series titled Critical Crafting In and Beyond Humanities Classrooms: 19th-Century Material Culture and 21st-Century Open Pedagogy. This series is generously funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and the Universities of Victoria, Alberta, and Manitoba, as well as the Victorian Studies Association of Western Canada.
