Job Opening: Visiting Assistant Professor of English, William & Mary (4/16/2020)

The Department of English at William & Mary invites applications for a full-time, one-year, non-tenure-track, visiting faculty position that will begin August 10, 2020. We seek an individual with expertise in Victorian literature. The successful candidate will teach three courses per semester, including a first-year writing seminar; “Interpreting Literature,” the portal course for the English major; an upper-level course on the Victorian novel, and other courses in their area of expertise. We are especially interested in candidates who can contribute courses that fulfill the English major requirement in “Constructions of Race.”

Required Qualification: Minimum ABD status at the time of appointment (August 10, 2020). Preferred: Ph.D. and two years of undergraduate teaching experience.
