Please note the approaching deadline for submitting an abstract for the 24th Annual Dickens Symposium, to be held July 26-28, 2019 in beautiful Salt Lake City. In the spirit of Dickens’s expansive imagination—and since Utah is the home of wonders that Dickens may have dreamt of but never saw—this particular iteration of the Symposium has no particular theme. Proposals from professional academics, independent researchers, and graduate students all are welcome, and on any topic related to Dickens’s life or work.
Full information about the 2019 Symposium, including the natural beauties surrounding our conference site, may be found here https://dickenssociety.org/.
Please submit one-page abstracts (300 words max.) and 150-word biographical statements to email@example.com no later than December 1. Graduate students should also note that they may submit their full paper by December 1, 2019 to be considered for the Robert B. Partlow, Jr. Prize, and that the Dickens Society has recently more than doubled the funds it makes available for bursaries to support graduate student attendance and participation.
