You are warmly invited to attend the first international conference on Walter de la Mare’s works. The programme includes an exciting line-up of talks, with plenty of opportunity for discussion. There will also be a pop-up exhibition by Professor Jacqueline Reid-Walsh (Pennsylvania State University) in collaboration with Carolina Rabei, illustrator of Faber and Faber’s children’s editions of de la Mare’s poetry.

The evening concert, 'Singing Walter de la Mare' – featuring Mackie and Me (Adèle Paxton and Dennis McCorkle), and the Lancashire Hustlers – will be free and open to all, regardless of whether you have registered for the rest of the conference. They have created new interpretations of de la Mare's poetry especially in time for this event, to be performed live for the first time.

Keynotes:

Professor Dame Gillian Beer (Cambridge)

Professor Angela Leighton (Cambridge)

Professor Peter Davidson (Oxford)
