This one-day symposium showcases new work on the Victorian nonsense poet, artist, and travel writer Edward Lear (1812-1888). Featuring papers by postgraduate and early career researchers on aspects of Lear’s work, his influences and legacies, including:
A keynote address will be given by Jenny Uglow, author of Mr Lear: A Life of Art and Nonsense (Faber, 2017).
