CFP: Contributions for a collection on “Morality and Emotion” (1/31/2017)

Sara Silva, a Postdoctoral Researcher at New Lisbon University is currently negotiating a new volume with Routledge, continuing the theme of the colloquium she has been organising annually in Lisbon for the past 4 years, on "Morality and Emotion". She accompanied the recent exchanges about nature descriptions as affective pauses, and about emotions, and hopes that contributions from other scholars would enrich the proposal immensely.

All are invited to submit an abstract for a proposed chapter contribution. She is interested in interdisciplinary perspectives so there are no fixed chronological or geographical frameworks. As long as it covers the topics of emotions and morality, or either emotion or morality, she would be very interested in receiving proposals from any areas, in this case with a special focus on the nineteenth century, of course, but by no means limited to that period.

Should you accept this challenge, please provide:

- a short title for a chapter;

- an abstract of around 250 words;

- a brief bionote of around 150 words.

Please submit documents or any enquiries directly to saragracsilva@gmail.com by 31 January 2017. If the proposal is accepted, the completed chapters (roughly around 8000 words/20 pages including notes and list of works cited) would be needed by 28 March 2017 at the latest (the timeline is normally 6 months until publication after submission).
