Salary: £31,342 to £37,394 per annum depending on skills and experience

Full time appointment working 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE)
This is a fixed term contract for a period of three years.
The University of Hertfordshire is seeking a keen and proactive Lecturer in English Literature to join our existing English Literature and Creative Writing team commencing 1st February 2016.
You must have teaching experience at undergraduate level or higher and be able to contribute to a range of literature modules. You will be expected to develop and produce teaching, learning and assessment materials and to run seminars, lectures, workshops, supervisions and tutorials across a range of modules.
Candidates for this post must possess a commitment to teaching and learning and be able to work in a team-based and interdisciplinary context. The successful applicant must be willing to contribute to teaching across a wide range of English literature from 1600.
Applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas are particularly welcomed:
-Early Modern literature
-19th & 20th Century American Literature
-Contemporary British or World Literature
English Literature is part of a dynamic group that is active in research, with strong links to education and the community and you will be expected to contribute to these areas.
The University is required to meet UKVI visa regulations. Applicants who do not currently have the right to work in the UK will have to satisfy UKVI regulations before they can be appointed.
